  1. You’ve done it again! I was only discussing ECT with a mate who is currently in hospital. ECT was suggested to her but she wasn’t keen and neither was I. We both agreed it was a ‘last resort’ treatment. Another mate’s friend had ECT which didn’t appear to help her. She stopped her treatments and went on Zoloft and she’s now much better. So yeah, I’ve seen patients come in for their ECT when I was in hospital and it was awful to see. But like anything, it could be just the thing that works for one person and not another.
